chalkchalkchalk everywhere

Oh gr8. here is a completely shitty photo for your viewing pleasure ladies and gentlemen hermaffs and whatnots you have down there. But ultimately, even if its a shitty camera, you should still tell if the work is good or bad. In this case, the photo and work is shit. Pretty much the first stage but I decided it's enough work to show for critique. Don't want to stress out now. The photo reference was superbbbbalicious by the way. Here is the link and more of Gaby Messina's work:

The most important person in my life. When I first saw the picture I was using a public computer and couldn't save it to my desktop. So I drew it to stare at it as long as I want like an obsessive psycho creep girlfriend. When the photo was taken I was probably melting off the bar stool into a pool of jelly, and he was probably singing some Stevie Wonder song or that Bob Marley song he covers so well.

There are paradoxes everywhere. Respond accordingly.

Oh geezus, the art show was swell. I am very pleased, pleased as a puppy. Lots of people wanted to buy my stuff, but I couldn't give up my first drawings made in those techniques. Never used charcoal, pencil, and pen at that large of a scale. Never pulled off my crumpled-paper graphite technique until I've found the perfect torso of a subject matter. Also, I've never cross-hatched with a pen. It's different, more loose. Gives room for your fingers to really break into your style. I'm sure pictures will leak all over the internet soon...so I'm just waiting for that.

I really need my own digital camera.

So now every weekend will be focused on a different project. Art buddies make for extra proliferation. I'm lucky to pick up Josh on the sidewalk for free. He offered himself to me to do services and he has an extra wet pussy! We will be very prolific.

Real quick. Here's a little portrait of my grandpa 20 years ago. It's done in oil pastels, which is my favorite medium. Josh says he doesn't like it because it ends up looking like mud. But how else can you have a nice blend of color like this?! Minus the hassle of using water and brushes, oil pastels are a more controlled less messy version of paint. I like the muddy look.

First assignment of drawing. The underwear/bathing suit has to be finished. The original picture had a celery stuck through it. To each his own? I'll try and look for the reference of this online and put it up too.

I am the winner of unfinished pieces. Still gotta darken the right side of the stomach. The darkest pencil I used was a 4B. I need to stop being a pussy and 6B it up.

P.s. For now all I have is my cell phone camera. Hopefully by the time my brother's lens is fixed I know how to maneuver my way through this thing.

Edit:
Here's the reference pic:

He also did this beautifully rendered decapitated head called "The head of Medusa."

Awesome. Goorgeous. Should I shutup?
